2024 Wine Competitions

Hardcopy Entry:

While on-line entries are preferred, mail-in entries are available from AWC@AmericanWineSociety.org.

 

Pre-Registration is required and entry forms must be received by October 13, 2024. Wine must be delivered between October 1 and October 18, 2024 to the designated receiving point.

 

Hardcopy entries and payments are to be mailed to American Wine Society, PO Box 889, Scranton, PA 18501 (do NOT enclose payment in your shipment of samples for evaluation).  

Check or money order should be made payable to the American Wine Society.
VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards are also accepted.

Rules and Information (see brochure for complete rules).

1. The competition is open to all amateur winemakers.

2. The fee is $35.00 per entry.  There are discounts for AWS Members and those who do not wish to receive medals.

3. The competition results will be published in an upcoming edition of the AWS Newsletter and posted on the AWS website.

4. One 750ml is required for competition (in one or multiple containers).

5. All wine categories are eligible to win the following awards: Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

6. The judging will be done in a blind tasting.

7. The judging panels consist of American Wine Society-trained judges and industry professionals.

8. Winners will be announced at the AWS National Conference on November 3, 2024.
